Isamu Noguchi's playful Cyclone table, began manufacture in 1954, in varying sizes, and later evolved into a companion piece to the Bertoia wire children's chair. It was enlarged to a full size dining table in 1957, at the request of Hans Knoll. The table's sculptural base consists of a column of chrome-plated steel wires set into a black cast iron base. Tops are available in 36" and 42" diameter, in black or white laminate.
