Splay-Leg Table

George Nakashima, 1955
Knoll, U.S.A.

Originally designed for Knoll in the late 1940's, George Nakashima's Splay-Leg Table was reintroduced in 2008. Nakashima is best known for his unique pieces of furniture, which are prized for their respect for the natural forms of the tree and the inherent grain of the wood. The table top is veneered in a reverse slip-matched cathedral pattern, and the legs and apron edge detail are solid American Walnut.
