The Ennezero collection “Valentina, la donna e mobile”, features the artwork of graphic artist Guido Crepax (1933-1003), who was hugely influential in the development of European comic art in the second half of the 20th century. Crepax created his work through the theories of Radical Design, which began in Italy in the 1960s. Firmly opposed to the tenets of ‘Good Design’ and style as marketing tools divorced from social and cultural considerations, Radical Design theorists reflected their attraction to the socio-cultural possibilities of design through alternative lifestyle models like those of the Beat poets and subsequent hippy movement.

His most famous storyline, featuring the character ‘Valentina’, was created in 1965, and is the focus of Ennezero’s collection, designed by Giuseppe Canevese. This series was very much in the spirit of the 60s, incorporating eroticism, and psychedelic and dream-like storylines. L 48cm D 50cm H 46cm
