Eames® Lounge and Ottoman
Charles and Ray Eames, 1956
Herman Miller®, U.S.A.
The quintessential modern classic, Eames® Lounge and Ottoman was introduced in 1956, to a market with nothing else to rival it. The design was completely new. Not only enduring for more than 50 years—the Eames® Lounge and Ottoman has become one of the most significant furniture designs of the 20th century.
These mid-century classics are in museums like MOMA in New York and the Art Institute of Chicago, as well as in stylish interiors around the world. The subject of documentaries and books, this design has been in continuous production since it was first released.
Its plywood shells are available in natural cherry, walnut, stained cherry and santos palisander veneer with upholstered elements available in a variety of leathers to suit any interior and every taste.
*NEW* Perfect for today's lighter, airy interiors, Eames® Lounge and Ottoman are now offered in an all-white version—pearl MCL Leather and a white ash shell that complements the white leather. The ash veneer is finished with a process that arrests the wood in its natural, "freshly cut" state—a creamy white that will not turn yellow or golden over time. The metal components of the chair have been updated to a white finish that highlights the polished aluminum accents on the base.
