Originally designed in 1973 for the offices of Barcelona’s decorative arts association, Forment de les Arts Decoratives (FAD), the FAD table lamp is a study in contrast, and the perfect compliment to FAD floor lamp. FAD is a blend of the hollow and the solid, the dark and the light, the simple and the elegant. Mila also played up the aesthetic qualities, the sensual contrast of the two materials comprising FAD: the walnut wood stand, textured, grained, dark and firm, and the white linen shade, subtle, light, soft, and almost ethereal.
