Le Soleil
Vincente Garcia Jimenez, 2009
Foscarini, Italy
Inspired by the architectural details of the Guggenheim museum in New York, Le Soleil uses form and structure to create indirect and direct lighting. Constructed with polycarbonate strips in white, red, or aquamarine, this material does not allow light to pass through, but directs beams of light upwards, and direct illumination downwards.
