After much excitement and anticipation, Bensen’s Morgan sofa has arrived at Quasi Modo! Bensen’s newest sofa creation is an extra deep sofa, with deep corners meant for snuggling in for a good long time. The Morgan sofa was designed with a single purpose in mind: uncompromised comfort.
The design subtly combines elements of formal high back sofas with a casual modern attitude to create a sofa that is superbly comfortable and suitable for a broad range of interiors.
Morgan is characterized by its distinct high back, cut-away arm profile, and sumptuous down cushions. The high back profile provides full head and shoulder support, and extends part way around the sides to form comfortable corner nooks. Chunky wood legs raise the sofa to a more comfortable seat height and balance the proportions. Morgan is available in many fabric textures and colours.
Come down to Queen Street and try out Morgan’s plush comforts for yourself!

Drawing on George Nelson’s timeless vision of the “continuing creation of a permanent collection designed to meet fully the requirements for modern living,” Quasi Modo welcomes the new Herman Miller Collection. This comprehensive portfolio offers a breadth and depth of products to furnish complete environments in a variety of settings, both elegant and casual, across a range of prices.

Each Piece is considered in relation to the whole – the rooms where it will be used, and the people who will use it. Living and Lounge offerings welcome rest as well as work. Meeting and Dining pieces navigate the moments when we gather around a table to share food or ideas. Working and Storage solutions address the technology and flexibility needed to achieve work goals now. Outdoor furnishings prepped to withstand the elements and crafted using the same design philosophy allow work and play to effortlessly move beyond the indoors.

Within the Collection, you’ll find updated archival pieces, furnishings from partners who share Herman Miller’s values, and new designs from today’s top talent – a bridge between Herman Miller’s past, present, and future. Seen together, in every type of environment, you realize the speak the same language, and are built from the same set of timeless design principals that have always guided Herman Miller. Problems are solved together. Beauty, then, naturally follows.

BIMM to launch creative, accessible rebranding campaign for design-savvy Toronto furniture shop
Toronto, ON – Quasi Modo Modern Furniture today announced a new partnership with BIMM. The marketing communications firm will execute a strategic and creative marketing and ad campaign to lead a rebranding initiative for Quasi Modo Modern Furniture.
With classic leading brands like Herman Miller, Knoll, Kartell and Carl Hansen to newer lines such as Bensen, De Padova and Missoni, Quasi Modo’s products are targeted at design-savvy individuals searching for inspiration and new ideas. They are skilled shoppers ranging from interior designers, to young, style-conscious professionals, to urban, affluent professionals and retirees. With two downtown Toronto locations, Quasi Modo exists to fuel their passion for design, offering exceptional, modern furniture and accessories, knowledgeable staff and a high level of customer service.
“A well-designed piece of furniture is like music to our ears, combining luxury, appearance and longevity into one artistic creation,” said owner Martin Myers. “BIMM’s passion for what they do is what attracted us to them, and their creativity and non-traditional approach locked us in. This new marketing direction is focused on stimulating our current customers’ hunger for good design and introducing Quasi Modo to a new clientele.”
BIMM’s marketing plan will emphasize quality and design with a clever play on a retailer known for Scandinavian design, self-assembly and Allen keys. Tongue-in-cheek words like NØTANØKØFF, coupled with pointed tag lines like “you can have a lamp that looks somewhat like the original but doesn’t fool anybody, or you can have the original and inspire everybody,” will appear in a variety of print and online ads. Additional creative will entice consumers with suggestive and appealing creative copy, including ZEERØMDF – “truly inspiring design almost never involves sideways-locking nuts holding together 20 pounds of medium-density fibreboard”. A custom cover for a popular furniture retail catalogue promoting Quasi Modo will be sent as a direct mail piece to targeted households in Toronto.
“Quasi Modo features some heavy-duty designer brands, but we wanted to stay away from the expected ‘high design’ approach to avoid taking ourselves too seriously,” said Roehl Sanchez, vice-president and chief creative officer at BIMM. “We created this campaign to be accessible to everybody and stimulate discussion to spread Quasi Modo’s passion for great design.”
